A gentle breeze blew overhead and the willow trees whistled their congratulations. There are no right answers when it comes to love. Sometimes, you just go with the
flow. That’s what Melissa did when she forgot to bring her written speech, but she gave one anyway, James by her side, encouraging her. Her laughter, embarrassment at forgetting, was forgotten by the love she had found. Without a script, she spoke from her heart. Everyone has their own story to tell, this was James and Melissa’s.
It was a fairy tale, a dream come true. As Melissa and James took their first steps as a married couple, they walked down the gravel path to a new life, loved ones cheering them on. Leaves fluttered down on them like confetti. You could hear the love in their laughter and see it in their smiles. It shone from within them, sparkling like the sun and shining on everyone around them.
Originally going to be held at Daylesford, COVID-19 made its best attempts to slash the hopes and dreams of the newly-wed couple, but framed by the swaying trees in Willow and Stone, love triumphed. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The world at its best, the weather was perfect. Fairy lights lit up like stars in the sky. Willow and Stone set the stage for Melissa and James to be celebrated by family and friends. Truly magical.
